Hrothgar Ironblade was a Wolf Lord in the Space Wolves Chapter in late M41.[3][4]
Biography
Amongst Hrothgar's most famous deeds was his defeat of the heretic Arch-Hierophant Vortigern at the Battle of Sestus Proxima, ending Vortigern's 300-year rebellion. In the process, he captured Vortigern's flagship and claimed it for the Space Wolves, renaming it the Fist of Russ.[4]
Hrothgar was among those who was a target of the Blood Claw Lukas the Trickster. Lukas had risked being killed by the Wolf Lord after the Blood Claw poisoned the Wolf Lord's ale with the concentrated venom of a bloat-toad, though Lukas managed to evade his wrath at the time.[1]
Hrothgar Ironblade would not be given another chance to seek revenge on Lukas, though, as the Wolf Lord was later killed on the world Qi'Ki'Ci by the Word Bearers Chaos Lord Moefranc.[2] He was succeeded as Wolf Lord by Berek Thunderfist.[4]
