Hydroplastic Actuators are a type of power system used by the Imperium.[1b] They are the most common type of hydroplastic, using small motors to transmit energy into physical movement,[1a] with the help of hydroplastic pressure.[1b]

Hydroplastic Actuators are commonly found in robotic systems and power subsystems in vehicles and buildings.[1b]

Hydroplastic Actuators for Mk.CVI Ambulatory Freight Hoists

Hydroplastic Actuators for Mk.CVI Ambulatory Freight Hoists are fitted with a new type-GX silicothetic strand, first developed by the Reverend Ancestors and rediscovered by Magos Strandox. To carry sensitive cargo, the Actuators can be calibrated for 4/4.005 sensitivity, increasable up to 500/1000 when speed is preferred over careful handling. A thermal charge of between 1/1098 and 2/1785 therms/picathought activates the hydroplastic, which causes the Actuator to expand or contract at a rate of five ells per minute, allowing it to handle cargo up to 7.68x105 drams, an increase of 4/1000 over previously used Actuators.[2]

The Actuators incorporate a bio-mechanical processor that uses a styro-liquid energy dispersal system based upon sucrosol. The sucrosol transmits energy from the thermic charge chamber to the Actuators through osmotic pressure and, at additional expenditure, requires a recycle-cleanser to maintain maximum efficiency.[2]
