Hyrkan Averius was a former Chapter Master of the Hawk Lords.^[1]

History

Orks were his most ancient foes and Averius sought to save his beloved Imperium by ensuring their complete annihilation. The Chapter Master launched countless raids against the never ending Greenskin tide that plagued the Imperium's borders and became hardened by the warfare. While he had endless hatred for Orks, though, Averius also had a baleful respect for the Xenos.^[1] When the Imperium launched the Dark Crusade,^[2] Averius was among its forces that fought^[1] in the Gathrog Campaign against the Orks of the Green Kroosade.^[3] However the Chapter Master would later die in battle with the Xenos, during the Campaign.^[1]

Hyrkan Averius was created for the Dark Crusade Campaign, by the Hobby Center staff of Games Workshop's Festival at Bel Air store^[1] in Bel Air, Maryland, USA.^[3]
