Sir Ian Livingstone CBE was one of the co-founders of Games Workshop, alongside Steve Jackson and John Peake.[1][6] He left Games Workshop in 1991, leaving it in the hands of Bryan Ansell.[7]

He was the Editor of White Dwarf for its first seventy-four issues,[2][3] and remained Editor-in-Chief until White Dwarf 80.[5] In 2022 he was the first person to be knighted for services to the gaming industry.[6]
