Ichtar IX was a Mining World of the Imperium.
In 161.M32, the planet was cut off from the greater Imperium for nine centuries due to a great Warp Storm. When the storm ended and contact resumed, nothing remained of the twenty million miners who had made up its population. The planet is now devoid of all intelligent life, the victim of the Daemonic legions of Chaos while trapped within the Warp Storm.[1][2]
