In the aftermath of the invasion's Solar War, Ihohet and two other Custodians were aboard the Emperor's command carrier Imperator Somnium, as it joined other surviving Imperial warships that were under Admiral Niora Su-Kassen's command. When a Dark Angels strike force led by Captain-Paladin Corswain later arrived in the Solar System, the survivors rejoiced as they thought the might of the Primarchs Lion El'Jonson and Roboute Guilliman would soon aid them. However the Imperial fleet was disappointed to learn that Corswain's strike force was alone and he had thought his Primarch was already in the System. Shortly afterwards, the light of the Astronomican went out and if it was not relit, then there was no hope that the two Primarchs would be able to arrive to aid the Imperium. Corswain took it upon himself to lead his Dark Angels to Terra in order to relight the Astronomican, but they would need the aid of the Imperial fleet to do it. Terra was swarming with the warships of the traitorous Warmaster Horus, and his small fleet, led by his flagship Wrath's Descent, would not survive to reach the Throneworld's orbit. He brought his plan to Su-Kassen, but she was unwilling to send the entire Imperial fleet on a journey it would not return from, as they would be needed to aid the Primarchs when they arrived. A task that was given to her, by the Primarch Dorn himself. Su-Kassen instead[1a], brought Corswain to Ihohet and the Dark Angel explained his plan to the Custodian. After hearing it, Ihohet agreed to lead the Imperator Somnium to Terra, where it would cut through the Warmaster's fleet. Its great size, would allow Corswain's fleet to hide in its shadow and its armour would ensure they reached Terra's orbit. All knew though, that this would be a final voyage for all the warships involved.[1b]
After their ships were emptied of all but the most essential personnel, the Imperator Somnium and Dark Angels' fleet raced towards Terra. The Emperor's command carrier soon came under fire from the Warmaster's fleet, but it was able to reach the Throneworld's orbit. As Corswain's fleet then prepared to launch the Dark Angels towards the Forbidden Fortress, which contained the Astronomican, Ihohet contacted the Captain-Paladin. Even as the Imperator Somnium began to burn around him, Ihohet calmly informed Corswain that his two fellow Custodians would be joining the Dark Angels as they stormed the Forbidden Fortress. The Custodian went on to state, however, that he would be remaining aboard the Imperator Somnium, until the end. Corswain wished honour upon Ihohet, who then ended the communication and shortly afterwards the Dark Angels and Custodians successfully launched from their ships. The Warmaster's fleet then focused their fire on the Dark Angels' fleet as well, which sent them aflame and adrift alongside the Imperator Somnium. By then the Emperor's command carrier had been critically damaged and it collided with Corswain's flagship, the Wrath's Descent. This then caused the Imperator Somnium to explode in a massive wave of golden fire, which consumed all the ships that were near it.[1b]
