The Inscribed was a Chapter of the Word Bearers during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[1a]
Known Actions
- Battle of Calth: The Inscribed battled with the Ultramarines' 22nd Chapter in the Thrascian Highlands, encountering heavy resistance despite their mass use of Diabolists and Daemons.[1c] Like many other Word Bearers chapters deployed on Calth, the Inscribed attacked the Ultramarines heedless of their own losses or chances of survival; indeed, like most of the invasion force, Primarch Lorgar regarded them as expendable.[1a][1b] Left behind on the planet, the Inscribed were eventually destroyed by an Ultramarines counter-assault.[2]
