Istrouma is the Homeworld of the Tome Keepers Chapter and contains various volcanic, mountainous and desert environments.
Overview
Originally known as GB-6-77[2], Istrouma exists in a state of perpetual suffering, as the world is scoured by baleful energy from the Istrouman System's white dwarf star. Because of this, Istrouma's surface is heavily irradiated, save for a single large continent that survives on the dark side of the world. While small colonies of miners exist out in the barren wildernesses and deep beneath the mountain ranges, the majority of the world's population lives on the one easily habitable continent. The capital city is Niveneh, beneath which can be found the vast libraries of the Istrouman people. The Fortress Monastery of the Tome Keepers can be found towards the Istrouma's northern pole atop the Zaatos mountain range. The Fortress is heavily shielded to protect it from radiation. In addition, Istrouma's erratic orbit and the orbits of its two moons, create periods of dramatic tectonic upheaval that alternately birth new mountain ranges or tear open the crust of the world, to reveal seas of molten lava.[1]
The people of Istrouma live short lives, with few living past 30. They thus spend their short existences accumulating knowledge and then pass on their works to their successors, each generation contributing to familial tomes kept in the great libraries of the world. They welcomed the Tome Keepers as the sky warriors of legend, but today find the near-immortals to be pariahs and walking dead.[2]
