Jaanyi
Jaanyi Doyenko, also known as "The Brute", is a Detective-Commander of the Adeptus Arbites in the Calixis Sector.[1]
History
Born to a Administratum Adept on Fenksworld, he grew up aboard a convoy of land-trains that moved between hives. At 15, his family was killed by Hive-Gangs, and he escaped into the hellish slums of Volg. He spent the next five years here clinging to life and developing a formidable physical combat ability. The now hulking young adult was eventually inducted into the Schola Progenium and recruited into the Adeptus Arbites.[1]
Jaanyi always resented never being able to exact his vengeance on his family's murderers, but nonetheless proved eager to fight these same types of scum across the stars. During his early years in the Arbites he proved adapt as a Chastener until eventually rising to Detective on Malfi. As a detective, Jaanyi has exposed a number of heretical plots, coups, and cults throughout the Culexus Sector.[1]
