Overview
The Jade Dragons prefer fast assault and shock tactics with lightning claws, often utilising seeker rounds as boltgun ammunition. [1]
History
Codex Noctis Verminium tortured out of Thelso Delyer, Lord Archivist of the Librarium on Morkevid presents the history of the hunt for the Infinity Worm (also called the Black Leviathan). Started by Lord Inquisitor Trintis Ven and 2 battle companies of the Jade Dragons lead by Captain Nu Falleo, the hunt has become the driving force for all Chapter actions.

Recent History
The Jade Dragons participated in the Damocles Gulf campaign, specifically in the war for Agrellan Prime in the adjacent planet’s capital city of Port Nemnor. A Jade Dragon squad led by sergeant Seanoa was meant to assist Ultramarines captain Devynius and veteran sergeant Thaxos’s squad in routing out Tau infiltrators in the city. The Jade Dragons deviated from the battle plan in pursuit of their own agenda causing the complete loss of squad Thaxos. Before returning to the cruiser Polar Defiance, Captain Devynius challenged and bested sergeant Seanoa in hand-to-hand combat despite previous injuries suffered while fighting the Tau. Seanoa lost an eye as a result of the challenge. [1]

Culture
The Jade Dragons are a ritualistic chapter centered on the pursuit of the Black Leviathan. Their hunt for the Infinity Worm is placed above all other priorities leading them to follow their own path even when tasked with shared objectives with other imperial forces. They believe that the Imperium is subverted by the many webbed limbs of the Black Leviathan and that many civilians are not worth saving. They seek signs of their pray in a ritual meditation where coxed visions allow them to track its trail. This ritual will include several seasoned members, all of whom must acknowledge seeing the same thing. Then the visions are interpreted along with omens that drive them on in their quest. Giving thanks to fate for revealing its secrets to fight the darkness, perfidy, betrayal, and shadow of the gods of the warp. Furthermore, individual chapter members use omens to prophesies the method of death that their next opponent is to die by.
"We keep our secrets, some of them even from ourselves” [1]
Members of the Jade Dragons wear clannish facial tattoos of swirls and dots. These could be made further distinct through ritual scaring. Each warrior makes their armour more district by adding patterns of swirls and dots on one grieve and forearm to match the ones on their face. [1]
Organisation
Chapter Organisation
The chapter values aggression and independence leading to a brute force hierarchy within the chapter rather than Codex promotion through experience to the next rank. Challengers for a leadership position fight with a blade between the 2 marines, willingness to kill each other creates at once both brotherhood and predation. This, along with many other chapter characteristics are kept secret from all outsiders. Members of the Jade Dragons have a stylized totem hanging from their armour signifying their fighting style rather than typical Codex Tactical, Assault or Devastator designation. Squad members are called flight mates. [1]
Command ranks include Sergeants and Captains known as “Hunts Masters”
