Jawsnappers are a kind of concealable melee weapon native to Varangantua.[1a]
Overview
They are a form of knuckleduster with an impact-reactive kinetic field to increase the user's impact with a punch.[1a] Output can be controlled for variable effect, and it needs to be primed prior to use. Though effective against unarmoured foes, they can also be used to break through obstacles such as the lock on a door[1b] or, with more finesse, to shock an inexpertly augmented foe into a stupor.[1c]
Though they are issued to members of the Varangantuan Enforcers[1], this weapon has found its way into the hands of gangers.[2]
