Jorek the Giant
Jorek the Giant was a Space Wolves Initiate, who sought to conduct a Lone Hunt on a pack of Fenrisian Wolves.[1]
History
He had tracked them to a fissure in Fenris' Bladed Mountains and watched them from the edge of a cave roof. Jorek was then about to pounce upon the Wolves' alpha male, when he was suddenly attacked from behind. His targets were in fact the family of the feral Human Canis, who had followed Jorek's tracks and struck when the Initiate was about to hurt his kin. Taken by surprise, Jorek fell off the cave roof and into a circle of the wolves below. Canis then attacked again and beat Jorek unconscious, before dragging him to the Space Wolves Fortress, The Fang, with the pack in tow. Once they reached it, Canis led the Fenrisian Wolves in a great howling that challenged those who would hurt his family. This was answered by Harald Deathwolf, who then defeated Canis in a duel, but he was left impressed by how a mere mortal had defeated Jorek. So much so, that instead of killing Canis, Deathwolf instead inducted the feral into the Space Wolves and his Great Company. However it is not known what became of Jorek afterwards.[1]
