Kalamandra
From Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum
Kalamandra, ridden by a Kroot Lone-spear[3]
Kalamandras are large and strange chameleonic creatures.
Description
Kalamandras are amphibian-esque quadrupeds native to the swamps of Chata and harnessed by the Kroot as war mounts. Their inherent traits of being great climbers, moving at high speed, having lightning-fast reactions, possessing chameleonic properties of being able to alter their own skin colour, and having a solitary nature, makes them perfect mounts for Kroot Lone-spears.[2] Their speed and strength also let them guide packs of Kroot Hounds into battles and aid the Lone-spears in capturing far-flung objectives.[1]
