Kauyon Mont'ka
Shas'o Kauyon Mont'ka is a name and rank shared by two Commanders in the T'au Empire, who hail from the Sept World Dal'yth.[1]
History
They were among[1] its Third Sphere of Expansion forces[2] that invaded the Imperial Sectors near the Damocles Gulf, in the wake of the 13th Black Crusade.[3] The first Mont'ka would become one of the primary figures behind the invasion and his forces were credited with the destruction of the Imperium's Research Vessel Excruciator, along with its accompanying fleet.[1] However the Imperium later launched the Dark Crusade's Mont'shi Campaign against the T'au Empire[3] and both Commanders were made priority targets. They were also among those that the Ordo Xenos gathered information on, but intel about the second Mont'ka was made classified by the Ordo.[1] Though the Mont'shi Campaign eventually ended in failure for the Imperium,[3] only the first Mont'ka survived its battles. The second Mont'ka had instead been captured during the campaign by the Imperium and had research conducted upon him afterwards. Once the Imperium was done with the Commander, though, the second Mont'ka was executed.[1]
