Kevlin was a Necromunda Spyrer Hunter, who was the youngest son of his Hive Primus Noble House.[1]
History
As the youngest, Kevlin felt he could have whatever he wanted, but did not consider himself to be spoiled. Despite his attitude, Kevlin did learn from the lessons his father taught him, which included that fear was the most effective of Noble's political instruments. The head of the Household expertly used that tool as an influential member of Hive Primus' Spire Council, in order to better consolidate and improve his position in the Nobles' society. Kevlin sought to do so as well, when his father told him it was his finally his turn to fulfill his vows as a Noble, by hunting Underhive scum. He was ecstatic about doing so and donned a Malcadon suit, which gave Kevlin a sense of power. He also felt safe from the dangers of the Underhive and Kevlin was sure he would have have no trouble learning about fear and self sufficiency, like his father wanted him to.[1]
His first targets were a House Escher Gang and Kevlin thought they would panic when they saw his Malcadon suit. However when he launched a surprise attack that snared their youngest member in a net, it was not fear that the Noble faced. Because Kevlin had targeted Maskarra's Sirens, who were one of their House's most feared gangs and they immediately became enraged and opened fire. Their reaction caught him by surprise, but Kevlin was able to flee from the Sirens overwhelming firepower, thanks to his Malcadon's speed and reflexes. The gang pursued him, but the Noble ran for an hour, until he was certain he had lost the Sirens. Kevlin then found a hidden area to regroup and plan his next moves, as he still intended to fulfill his vows as a Spyrer Hunter. As he recovered, Kevlin thought about how he would share a laugh with his Noble friends about his encounter with the gang, when he returned to Hive Primus' Spire. He then thought of his father and hoped the older Noble would die soon. After all, Kevlin thought, that was the only way the young noble would be able to replace his on father on the council.[1]
However the Sirens had not stopped chasing Kevlin and he was so lost in thought, that Maskarra herself was able to get the drop on him. When the Gang Queen shoved her Meltagun in his face, the shocked Noble could do nothing but give her his best boyish grin. His mother had always told him, before she died, that his smile could melt the heart of any girl. It had no effect on Maskarra, though, who grinned back and said the young Noble was a long way from his mommy. The Gang Queen then fired her Meltagun and Kevlin was able to truly understand fear, before his upper body was evaporated.[1]
