Kogfist Steelsnappa
Kogfist Steelsnappa was an Ork Big Mek.[1]
Biography
During the Octarian War, Kogfist was among the Orks that invaded and captured the Imperial world of Fendatha. He quickly amassed a powerbase, constructing a city out of scrap metal that he named after himself and growing wealthy from the large chemical reserves beneath his city - in particular deposits of promethium. Imperial intelligence identified Kogfist as a lynchpin to the Orks' war efforts in the region.[1]
Unfortunately, Imperial resources in the warzone were stretched too thin to allow for a dedicated counterinvasion of Fendatha. Instead, a regiment of the Death Korps of Krieg was assigned a mission to undermine and bring down Kogfist's powerbase, in the hopes that the resulting infighting among the Orks would delay their war efforts; the bulk of the regiment made planetfall and mounted a suicidal attack on Kogfist's city, while a number of Kill Teams comprised of Veteran Guardsmen infiltrated the city to accomplish the Imperium's goals.[1]
