Kytan Daemon Engine
The Kytan Daemon Engine is a towering war construct, forged during the Horus Heresy by Warpsmiths and Dark Magos as an act of devotion to Khorne, the god of blood and battles.[1][2]

Description
Standing as tall as a Cerastus Knight, its humanoid form combines the brute fury of a Daemon with the firepower and resilience of an Imperial Knight. Sharing design elements with the infamous Lord of Skulls, the Kytan is distinguished by its humanoid frame, which allows it to stride across the battlefield with terrifying speed.[1][2]
Armed with a devastating Kytan gatling cannon and the Great Cleaver of Khorne as its preferred weapon, it revels in slaughter, eviscerating all who stand against it until the ground is soaked with blood. Protected by daemonic wards and Warp-forged resilience, the Kytan shrugs off damage from all but the most formidable adversaries.[1][2]
Each Kytan is forged from adamantine and brass, infused with life by a malevolent entity of bloodlust and hatred called forth from the Warp.[4]
History
They were first encountered during the Battle of Bodt[3].
These engines of war were first forged in the hell-forge of Sarum during the Horus Heresy. The bulk, if not the entirety, of Sarum’s industrial output was dedicated to supporting the World Eaters Legion. In return, the Crimson Priests supplied their allies with what were widely believed to be new and unsettling types of war-automata. These included feral, hunched machine-beasts, gothic colossi rivaling the dreadnoughts of the Legiones Astartes in power, and even Knight-class war engines ominously referred to as "kytan"—terrifying creations that seemed pulled from humanity’s darkest nightmares.[4a]
