Legatine axe
Legatine Axes are a kind of a power axe used by Suzerain Invictarus Ultramarines Space Marines during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy era.[1][2]
This weapon was created to the specification of Roboute Guilliman himself after a thorough study of many kinds of power weapon designs across the many planets of humanity. The Legatine axes became a precise and perfectly balanced weapon of war. It is required great skill to master, is swifter to wield than most power axes, but lacks the brute strength of many of its kind. The strongest trait of Legatine axe lies in the skilful placement of blows that inflict maximum harm. The axes were also ancient symbols once carried by the heralds of the battle-kings of Macragge, but they were more than signs of office, as they were used to enact instant justice on any who would defy the Primarch's will.[2]
