Lion's Protectorate

The Lion's Protectorate is the name of Imperium Nihilus worlds and systems that are under the protection of the Dark Angels' returned Primarch, Lion El'Jonson, and the Imperial forces that serve him, including The Risen and the Lion Guard.[1b][1c]

History
It was formed after the Primarch realized the extent of the destruction the Great Rift's creation had upon the Imperium, which left him with a desire to protect as many of its citizens as he could.[1a] Though he has stated that only those who wish to join should do so, as word spread of the Lion's return, more Imperium Nihilus Systems sought the aid his Protectorate offered. It has now significantly increased in size, however, and as a result, the Lion's forces have become stretched thin.[1c]
