History
Along with Formal Prime, Indrid and Onscard, Long Halent was one of the first worlds of the cluster targeted for reconquest by the forces of the Sabbat Worlds Crusade, as part of the military deployment known as Operation Redrake.[1]
The Imperial forces that fought on Long Halent included the 5th Royal Volpone and 163rd Ventrillian Armour regiments, along with Navis Imperialis support. These took significant casualties against the Blood Pact at Gorgar Ridge, with the Volpone losses estimated at 43% after their later evacuation from the planet.[3]
