Low Commorragh is a region of Commorragh, home of the Drukhari, consisting of the outermost portions of the Dark City. Low Commorragh originated as trading districts and port spars during the time of Eldar Empire. While these areas were originally created out of elegant architecture, they have become ruined and hideous during the Drukhari's descent into moral debauchery.[2a] Now a massive maze of catacombs shielded from Commorragh's stolen suns, it is said that only the lost and feral thrive in the lower districts of Commorragh.[1]

Low Commorragh is overcrowded and full of beasts, cutthroats, scavengers, slaves, and other deranged individuals, making it extremely dangerous to an unescorted traveller.[1] It is a sprawl of slums, tunnels, slave pens, dens, brothels, stews, rookeries, shooting galleries, flesh sculptors, workshops and torturies. It is not unknown for even Archons to visit, though always incognito, to sample the pleasures of the lower city.[3] Pirates and criminal gangs inhabit this area, raising strongholds or claiming ancient spires and domes as lairs before falling in localised civil wars. Some lesser Kabals unable to secure territory in High Commorragh or Corespur reside here while plotting ways to secure more desirable territory.[2a]

Notable Regions

  • Null City — Also called Sec Meagra, a large shanty sprawl located corewards of the polluted River Khaïdes that hosts most of the alien mercenaries residing in Commorragh.[2b]
  • The Sprawls — Area inhabited by the Parched, Drukhari rendered into an emaciated, feral state due to going too long without feeding on pain.[2a]
