Luminum Tats
From Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum
Luminum Tats, or shine-jobs, are tattoos made out of circuits and chemicals in poor imitation of the electoos of the Adeptus Mechanicus.[1]
Description
Luminum Tats are found on the bodies of underhive gangers. They display and sometimes animate images, markings, slogans and gang glyphs. They also proclaim allegiance to one of the many underhive gangs and display the achievements of the wearer. For the superstitious the tattoos serve as a protection against evil.[1]
More elaborate Luminum Tats are often produced by hereteks. This means that the tattoos are sometimes forcible removed from the wearer’s body by more radical tech-priests.[1]
