A Sickness of the Spirit: The paradise of Eldar civilisation lead to a combination of curiosity and complacency. Throughout the Eldar Empire, ennui lead to the gradual slide into sensual excess. Darkness began to arise in the empire as it began its gradual descent. Cults of pleasure are on the rise, worship of the Eldar gods declines sharply, and pursuits of excess slowly pervert into outright evil. The yet-to-be born Slaanesh stirs in the Warp.[6]
