Macharian Vigilites
The Macharian Vigilites are the most common Enforcer Security Force encountered on the worlds of the Macharian Sector.[1]
History
Their origins date back to the Macharian Crusade, where the Vigilites were either formed from Astra Militarum forces garrisoned on worlds that resisted the Crusade or from existing police forces whose worlds chose not to. Like all Enforcers, they answer to their Planetary Governor and Vigilites typically sport heavy armour and high quality weapons. The equipment is designed to serve as an open threat against would-be lawbreakers, their Governor's foes and common citizenry alike, with the Vigilites brutally administering their version of justice when need be. Corruption runs rife amongst their ranks, however, and members of the Vigilites will often be willing to turn a blind eye for a price.[1]
