Magdalor is the Homeworld of the Iron Angels Chapter and is located in the Imperium Nihilus.[1]
History
It was claimed by the Iron Angels in early M33, after a catastrophe destroyed their original Homeworld and much of their history. Afterwards, the peak of Magdalor's tallest mountain was hollowed out for its Fortress Monastery, known as the Angels' Crown, and a space station for its fleet was located above the world's third moon. Magdalor's tribal population, was also used as Aspirants by the Chapter, but the ill fortune that followed the Iron Angels would strike their new Homeworld as well. As time went on, Magdalor's population was culled by outbreaks of disease and psychic mutation. Worse was to come, however, as in M42, the world was invaded by Abaddon the Despoiler and the Black Legion. Their true target, though, was the Iron Angels' relic known as the Oathing Stone, which was stored within the Chapter's Fortress Monastery. With the aid of the powerful Daemon Vashtorr, Abaddon was able to cleanse the Fortress and escape with the relic. The Iron Angels meanwhile, suffered heavy losses due to the attack, which included their Chapter Master Nymarn.[1]
