Mallanus Minoris is a distant Imperial Frontier World, that lies in the outskirts of the Unbeholden Reaches in the Koronus Expanse.[1]
History
Only one Rogue Trader had visited Mallanus Minoris and then brought back news of a world hungry for Imperial technology. Unfortunately, though, its system's asteroid belt was also infested by Ork Freebooters.[1]
The Rogue Trader Sarvus Trask knew of this and later became interested in Mallanus Minoris, when he discovered a stable trade route to the world. After purchasing a cargo of lasguns and Sentinels from the Astra Militarum, Trask arrived at Minoris to find it under attack by the Freebooters. Acting quickly, Trask unloaded his cargo from his raider, Cerberus, and sold the weapons to Minoris' desperate population in exchange for some of the world's precious metals. The Rogue Trader then used the Cerberus to destroy three of the Freebooters' raiding warships, which drove the Orks from Minoris' system. Afterwards, the world's grateful population agreed to enter an exclusive trading agreement with Trask. The Rogue Trader's Missionary then asked Trask if he could begin a mass conversion of Minoris' population to the Imperial Creed.[1]
