Markog
Markog is the Chaos Lord of the Dolorous Guard Warband, which serves as the bodyguards for the Ten Thousand Eyes' master, Seraphax.[1a]
History
Markog was originally a prideful officer in the Ashen Blades Chapter. When his fleet became trapped by a Warp Storm, Chapter-wide infighting occurred, and by the time the survivors had freed themselves[1b] they had become corrupted by the forces of Chaos[1a]. Markog emerged from this conflict as not only the commander of the Blade of Truth Battle Barge, but also a worshiper of Slaanesh, likely due to his pride. From the ruins of the Ashen Blades, he formed[1b] the Dolorous Guard, who would later ally with the Ten Thousand Eyes. The Guard is now the bodyguards of the warhost's master, Seraphax, and Markog reverently obeys his every command. The Chaos Lord is very suited for his role[1a], as Markog's worship of Slaanesh has granted him[1b] the Daemon Axe Heartdrinker[1a]. As long as he holds the weapon[1d], Markog is able to heal from any wound [1a][1c], and can also teleport the Dolorous Guard where need be[1d]. However, he has been left with a strong desire to consume Human flesh, especially that of Space Marines.[1a]
During the battle between the Ten Thousand Eyes and the returned Lion El'Jonson and his loyalist Fallen Angels, Markog was slain by a group of Risen including Guain, Borz, Zabriel, Galad, and Launciel.[1d]
