Maxen Vledig
Maxen Vledig was the Grand Master[1] of Legio Honorum, during the Great Crusade and the opening moments of the Horus Heresy.[2]
History
Shortly before the Horus Heresy began, Vledig was among his Legio's delegation of high-ranking commanders who returned to Mars. This was done to repair Honorum's bonds with their Homeworld, which had been heavily damaged due to accusations that the Legio had abandoned its oaths to Mars. Honorum's critics stated the Legio now favored the bonds they formed with the Imperial forces they had fought beside, during the Great Crusade. In order to prove these accusations were false, Vledig and his commanders intended to reaffirm their vows to Mars and show their solidarity with its Fabricator General, Kelbor-Hal. The meeting between them, proved to be a trap, however, as Kelbor-Hal was an ally to the traitorous Warmaster Horus and Vledig and his delegation were killed during the Schism of Mars.[2]
