Merica
Merica was a pre-Imperial nation-state on Earth during the Age of Strife.[1][2]
Overview
It contained vast areas of radioactive wastelands, such as its western coast, which had been shattered by atomics.[2] Merica was one of the nations defeated and conquered by the Imperium's forces during the Unification Wars[1], although some of the western regions of Merica were known to have willingly joined with the young Imperium rather than be conquered.[2]
During the early Empire it was known for its high fashion and grand ballrooms.[1] Its old purebred families possessed fantastic wealth and held onto vaults of valuable technology which would later be gifted to the Imperium.[2]
During the Unification Wars, Merica was known to field strong armoured regiments. A number of these would eventually be absorbed into the Imperial Army.[2]
