Miniatures: Bandai
Starting in 2019, Games Workshop announced an official partnership with the company BANDAI© in order to produce and commercialize fully painted, 7-inch-tall Primaris Space Marines, featuring multiple points of articulation and exchangeable weapons. the design was supervised by the Warhammer Studio, and Jes Goodwin.[1]
No new 7" miniature has been released by Bandai since 2021[6], while 7-inch action figures have been continuously produced by McFarlane Toys since then.[8]
Bandai© also produced a series of smaller 2-inch-tall figures in the Chibi style, in 2020[1] and 2023[7]. "Chibi" is derived from a Japanese verb meaning “to shorten”, and a style of caricature based around large heads and stubby limbs.[1]
