Monsk is a Forge World of the Imperium that houses orbital shipyards capable of constructing Imperial Navy vessels.[1]
History
In late M40, Monsk was authorised by the tech-priests of Mars to construct a new pattern of Imperial heavy escort vessel. The adepts of Monsk laboured for many generations, continually cross-checking with the Martian archives and piecing the prototype ship together from tens of thousands of components. When the time came to submit the design for consideration to the Fabricator-General of Mars, the omens were regarded as favourable. However, the plans for the ship were stolen and never reached the Red Planet; the pattern was consequently never put into production.[1]
Several years later, a new class of Chaos raider was recorded in the Damocles Sector, not far from Monsk. These new raiders came to be designated as the Infidel-class by the Imperial Navy, and were noted to bear striking similarities to the Monsk design.[1]
