Mordinian Duplicator
Mordinian Duplicators is among the unique and deadly florae that exist on the Jungle Death World Mordin.[1]

Description
The massive carnivorous plant only flourishes in the deepest parts of Mordin's jungles, where its bulbous body can stand from 4 to 7 meters tall. The Duplicator is also crowned with a flower, that has a number of spherical chambers inside, along with a series of two to four animated vine-like tendrils extend from the plant's body. What makes the Duplicator so unique though, is its means of asexual reproduction using their prey's biological matter. The process begins when the plant captures prey with its vines and then deposits them into one of the many chambers that the Duplicator's flower-like top contains.[1]
Once there, the prey's biological matter is immediately broken down into soup via powerful, corrosive enzymes and combined with the Duplicator's own DNA. This only takes seconds to complete and it the mixture is then condensed into a seed-like pod, that is ejected from the flower's chamber and down to Mordin's jungle floor. Once it lands a few meters away, the Duplicator's seed immediately takes root and after splitting open, it grows into a copy of its parent. The full growth takes only minutes to complete and the new Duplicator is ready to continue the cycle. But because of this, it is rare to see only a single Duplicator by itself, in Mordin's jungles. More often than not, the plants are instead encountered in expansive clusters that stretch on for great distances. Due to its nature, the Duplicator has become the subject of great interest to field biologists of the Imperium.[1]
