Mordred (Reclusiarch)

Mordred, known as Mordred the Avenger[1c] was a Reclusiarch of the Black Templars Chapter.[1a]
He was mentor to Merek Grimaldus, who attracted Mordred's attention during the Battle of Fire and Blood. Following the battle, Mordred started to groom Grimaldus as his successor.[1a]
Over a century later (just prior to the Third War for Armageddon), Mordred fell in battle against the forces of Chaos and Grimaldus was elevated to the rank of Reclusiarch.[1a] After Mordred's death, his bones would go on to become Chapter relics.[2]
