Morias Leuze
Morias Leuze was a Tech-Priest of the Adeptus Mechanicus.[1a]
Leuze was a Mechanicus Magos whose research specialised in the Immaterium. He was the principal Artisan on Project Aurora under Archmagos Nozick Beta-12, to whom Magos Leuze was an apprentice. Leuze considered the reconstruction of Project Aurora his life's work and intended to use its Warp nullification powers of Blackstone to combat the dangers of Chaos.[1b] He was the only survivor of Nozick's team on Avarax, the rest being killed by Tyranids.[1a]
After being rescued from the Tyranids by Demetrian Titus and his squad, the Ultramarines Lieutenant is horrified at the discovery that the Mechanicum has rebuilt Aurora and intends to use it to fight the forces of Chaos.[1b] Leuze refuses to back down from his plan, protected by an energy shield as Titus and his squad attempt to kill him with Bolter fire. Leuze seemingly forces back Imurah and his Thousand Sons, but this is revealed to have been a ruse by the Sorcerer to allow Leuze to complete his work on Aurora. Once he had completed his plans with Aurora, Leuze is killed by Imurah, who sought to use the Xenos device to amplify the power of the Warp.[1d]
