Morlond was a heavily-contested Fortress World that was assaulted by the Imperial Guard during the Sabbat Worlds Crusade.[1][2]
Because the entire Crusade's advance was stalled while Morlond remained in the Chaos forces' hands, Warmaster Macaroth led the invasion in person.[2]
