The Imperial Navy warship Relentless is tasked to aid in the evacuation of the ocean world of Bahani. Sub-Lieutenant Marcher, newly-elevated after an act of heroism on the dying world, must contend with Navy politics, civilians who don't want to be removed from their world and an attack by the vicious alien Eldar, intent on the destruction of the Relentless and the convoy of refugees she escorts.
