Murdin Eyclone[2]

Murdin Eyclone was a servant of Chaos, who had operated in and around the Helican Subsector. Described as a "facilitator", Eyclone hired out his services to any Chaos cult who needed him.[1a] Eyclone was a psyker, whose powers allowed him to control others, and to wipe memories.

Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn first encountered Eyeclone working as a gun-for-hire on the frozen world of Hox, where he was doing mercenary work for a small Chaos cult. Eyeclone managed to escape Eisenhorn, who, over the next year, pursued him through two hive worlds until eventually meeting again on a world called Tornish. Cutting through the local gang that Eyeclone had employed to protect him, with the help of a traitor ganger named Lores Vibben, Eisenhorn came close to cornering Eyeclone, who then sicced an ork gladiator named Gosspit on the Inquisitor, giving himself the time he needed to escape as Eisenhorn and Vibben fought the ork, then had to burn away any potential ork spores from the area.[3]

Eyeclone eluded Eisenhorn for a further five years, becoming an incredibly notorius criminal over the period. Although Eisenhorn had other duties, he continued to obsess over Eyeclone, and Eyeclone knew this. In 240.M41, Eyeclone embedded a daemon within a Warp cipher protecting an astropathic communique that Eisenhorn's astropath Krintos had intercepted and was attempting to decode. Before the daemon was able to fully possess Krintos, he managed to tell Eisenhorn that Eyeclone was on the planet Hubris.[3]

Eyeclone was on Hubris attempting to murder the entire population of the planet, who were cryogenically frozen, in a ritual intended to empower Pontius Glaw[1b]. The scheme was abandoned at the last minute, which coincided with Eisenhorn's arrival. Despite the death of Vibben, and the multitude of deaths of those roused from cryosleep too early by Eyclone, Eisenhorn cornered Eyclone on the roof, and, having ensured Midas Betancore had dealt with his men, killed him[1c]. Eyclone's gifted defence mechanism, that of an extending metallic worm hidden under his fingernail, was destroyed by Eisenhorn, Uber Aemos and Godwyn Fischig.[1a]
