Cursed Legion
The Cursed Legion[2], also known as the Nekrosor's Crusaders[1] are the vast Destroyer Cult legions of Nekrosor Ammentar.[1]
Overview
Every Tomb World Ammentar has co-opted has its Necrons assimilated into his horde, either willingly or unwillingly. Some desperate Tomb Worlds will pay a tribute of Necrons already suffering the Destroyer Curse to Ammentar, while others are wholly enslaved after their World Spirit has become corrupted by the Nekrosor's presence. In such cases, large numbers of the Tomb World's population will be unwillingly converted into various Destroyer forms. This corruption spreads not only to the Necrons of any given world, but also their war engines. Those assimilated into Ammentar's army are given the mark of the Nekrosor and include Necrons from a vast number of Dynasties.[1]
Besides standard Destroyer forces, the Cursed Legion also teem with Flayed Ones, which are drawn to the death the Nekrosor brings in his wake. Ammentar's relatively sane generals often factor the Flayed Ones into their invasion protocols and will attempt to shepherd them from one warzone to the next due to their usefulness in slaughter.[1]
So vast are the Cursed Legion that Ammentar can not lead them all in person, so he often delegates to his Oblivion Court. Regardless of past affiliation or present deployment, they are all sworn to the Nekrosor's will and are currently seeking to resurrect the Nightbringer.[1]
