Neth
Neth was a Necron Royal Warden of the Ithakas Dynasty.[1a]
The Praetor of Sedh's garrison, during the Great Sleep his cognitive systems were damaged and he has suffered continual mental deterioration. Despite this, he dutifully served his Lord Oltyx. After an Ork attack on Sedh, an enraged Oltyx was about to execute Neth for his failure. However Oltyx's strategic submind intervened, sparring Neth and giving him a chance to redeem himself.[1a] When Oltyx decided to break his exile and travel to Antikef, he orders Neth not to die as there would be no point in it. Invigorated with newfound enthusiasm, Neth vowed to defend Sedh to the end from any future threats.[1c]
Later, the Ithakas are forced to flee their territories in the face of an Imperial Crusade. During the retreat and subsequent battle against the Ark Mechanicus Tyresias, Neth volunteered to stay behind and hold the line against advancing Skitarii, sacrificing himself in the process.[2a] Oltyx came to regret the loss of Neth and expressed guilt over what had become of him.[2b]
