New Gidlam is an Imperial Hive World that consists of 13 major Hives, each with a population numbering in the tens of billions. Unbeknownst to the ruling authorities, though, the world had been thoroughly taken over by the Genestealer Hivecult.[1]
The Cult later staged an uprising, but they were destroyed in battle with the military forces of the Imperium, who restored order to New Gidlam.[2]
