The Night Watch are a Space Marine Chapter one of the Astartes Praeses Chapters which, according to the ancient tome Mythos Angelica Mortis, were created to guard the Eye of Terror.[1][5]
Notable Battles
- The entire 5th Company was lost at the Battle of Silver River.[3]
- The Zeist Campaign: The Night Watch heeded the call of Lord Macragge, and provided Tactical squads to fight for the liberation of Augura (a staging point for the Tau forces).[2b]
- 13th Black Crusade: The Night Watch fielded 11 companies against the forces of Chaos.[1]
Heraldry
The Chapter's colours are dark grey with blue helmet and pauldrons and a silver aquila. Their Marines display rank stripes on their helmets and squad markings on the left kneepad.[4]
Their symbol is a skull with a candle flame on top (light on a dark field).[2a]
