Norand
Norand was a citizen of Vervunhive on the Imperial planet Verghast.[1]
Biography
Norand was one of the hive's lower classes, who lived in the outhabs beyond the main wall. When Vervunhive was attacked by the Ferrozoicans in the Sabbat Worlds Crusade, Norand was one of many outhab refugees who fled and sought sanctuary within the walls of the inner hive. However, Norand was a lifelong obscura addict and, deprived of his drugs, began to suffer withdrawal symptoms that resulted in him being committed to a field hospital run by Surgeon Ana Curth.[1]
Although Curth tried to calm him down, Norand lashed out at her and demanded drugs to ease his pain. Things escalated and Norand attacked Curth with a knife that he had smuggled in. Fortunately, Curth's life was saved by Tolin Dorden, a Guard medic who was assisting Curth's hospital, who was able to restrain Norand and knock him unconscious.[1]
