Null Bastion

The Null Bastion is an Imperial Inquisitorial Fortress within the Maelstrom Zone.^[1]

This ancient black fastness is located on a small shriveled planet that resembles a charred eyeball from orbit. An obscuring veil of unknown sources hides the planet from all sensors and holds back the tides of the Warp. Many groups and species have occupied the fortress over the eons, but for the past several centuries it has been used by the Inquisition. Its present overseer is Phorica Skaelen of the Ordo Astartes, who uses the fortress as a base to build up her resources and expand her knowledge of the Maelstrom by conducting secret expeditions into its gyre.^[1]

The planet's black surface and anti-Warp nature points strongly to it being Noctilith in nature, though this is never confirmed within the source material.
