Nyx is a world of the galaxy's Eastern Fringe, located in the Vidar Sector of the Imperium.[1]
History
At one time, Nyx was one of the supply worlds for the nearby Forge World of Hypnoth. When Hypnoth was besieged by the Necrons of the Sautekh Dynasty, its Imperial defenders managed to hold against the xenos for months. However, Phaeron Imotekh was able to break this stalemate by launching attacks on Hypnoth's supply worlds, including both Nyx and Praedis-Zeta.[2]
The Necron raids on Nyx were complicated by an unexpected Tyranid infestation. Imotekh swiftly adapted to this, luring the Tyranids into confrontations with Nyx's Imperial defenders while allowing his own forces to withdraw.[2]
