Order of the Golden Thorn

The Order of the Golden Thorn are a minor Order of the Sisters of Battle.[1]
History
Its Sisters were among the Imperial forces that defended the Ecclesiarchy-held Vatrica System and were led by Canoness Amalica. However, sometime after the Great Rift was created, the System was invaded by the Szarekhan Dynasty forces of Overlord Tartorekh. The Necrons' sudden attack allowed them to overwhelm the Imperial forces defending Vatrica and nearly succeed in claiming the System. Thanks to the self-sacrifice of Amalica and her Sisters, though, an Astropathic distress call for aid was able to be sent out. This was later answered by the Black Templars of the Purgus Crusade, who now fight the Necrons for the fate of the Vatrica System.[1]
