Ostrakhan's Rebirth
Ostrakhan's Rebirth was a Hellhammer Super-Heavy Tank of the 7th Paragonian Super-heavy Tank Company.[1a][2a][2b]
History
Early History
Magos Eurakote Steelmaster was present at the tank's naming, notably vocalising his celebration during the ceremony.[1c]
By the late 300's.M41, Ostrakhan's Rebirth had entered service with the 7th Paragonian Super-heavy Tank Company.[1a][2b] It was the Company's command tank and the flag armour of Honoured Captain Kandar Vor Ostrakhan Lo Hannick.[2a]
Kalidar War
Ostrakhan's Rebirth was deployed with the rest of the 7th Company on Kalidar IV.[1a]
In 328.397.M41, the 7th was stationed in Macaree's Tablelands, the tanks powered down for reactor maintenance. However, an ork warband used a dust storm as cover to attack the Imperial positions. Those crewmembers who had remained onboard during the maintenance cycle were forced to use the tank's small arms to prevent the tanks being boarded by orks.[1b] Despite their efforts, however, some of the orks made it to Ostrakhan's Rebirth, climbing aboard the tank, damaging it and attacking the crew.[1b][1d]
Later Service
Later the tank saw deployment on Geratomro, putting down an anti-Imperial rebellion.[2b]

- Kandar Vor Ostrakhan Lo Hannick — Honoured Captain and Tank Commander.[2a]

Notes
- In the novel Baneblade, the tank's name is spelled as both Ostrakan's Rebirth.[1a][1b][1c][1d] and as Ostrakhan's Rebirth.[1d] By the later novel Shadowsword, however, its name appears to be spelled consistently as Ostrakhan's Rebirth.[2a][2b]
