Palis II was an Imperial world that was overrun by an invading army and, rather than allow such a valuable world fall to the Empire of Mankind's enemies, the Inquisition ordered an Exterminatus to be carried out. Unfortunately, the Inquisition did not inform the surviving Imperial forces still fighting on Palis II's surface of its ordered death and they were forced to fight their way clear of the world before it was destroyed.[1]
