Pax Argentius is one of the three moons which orbits the planet Varsavia, homeworld of the Silver Skulls.[1]
Overview
The moon serves as the Chapter's funeral world; it is covered in mausoleums and monuments dedicated to the Chapter's fallen, fashioned by the Custodes Cruor and painstakingly maintained by the Chapter's serfs. Many of these contain an urn of the fallen Space Marine's ashes, made from silver and shaped like the skull of whatever killed him (or a facsimile thereof, if the original is not available). Others house the remains of the Chapter's serfs. The first of these tombs housed Argentius, the first Chapter Master of the Silver Skulls (the moon is named in his honour).[1]
In addition to the various tombs, Pax Argentius is also the site of a repository of tomes used to train Brothers inducted into the Skulls' Chaplaincy.[1]
The inhabitants of Varsavia, including the Silver Skulls, believe that the souls of the dead stare down on Varsavia from the moon.[1]
