Phael Toron
Phael Toron was a Captain of the Thousand Sons during the Great Crusade[1a] and Horus Heresy.[1d]
Biography
A member of the Raptora Cult, he commanded the 7th Fellowship, which spent most of the Crusade on Prospero as part of its defense force and as a training cadre for potential Aspirants.[1a][1b] As such, he and his subordinates had to adapt to the newfound arcana the rest of the Legion brought back from their travels, and he was ill at ease with the paraphernalia involved in more advanced rituals.[1b][1c]
During the Burning of Prospero, Phael Toron and his Fellowship were deployed in the outer precincts of Tizca's naval port. A proponent of using psychic abilities only as a last resort, he controlled his Tutelary Dtoaa's desire to unleash their combined power upon the invaders, believing his Fellowship to be as of yet too unaccustomed to the new knowledge. To the behest of his Philosophus Tulekh, he authorized the use of psykana, embracing his impressive Psychic abilities and causing heavy casualties against the Space Wolves as the first signs of the flesh change manifested themselves. However he lost control, Dtoaa feeding him far more Warp energy than he could master, and his body to overloaded into a kilometer-wide explosion.[1d]
