Pireaus System
The Pireaus System is a star system of Imperial space, located in the Badab Sector of Ultima Segmentum.[1]
Overview
The Pireaus System is located in the southeast of the Badab Sector. It is the terminus of some of the most important warp routes from the southern Maelstrom Zone into the sector. For this reason, it was of utmost importance for the conquest of the Badab Sector during the Badab War. In 705.911.M41, the loyalists, led by the Red Scorpions and Executioners, launched a large-scale invasion of Pireaeus, during which a duel took place between the two commanders-in-chief, Carab Culln and Lufgt Huron.[1]
In the year 963.M41 the Fire Hawks were sent to the Crows World subsector against Eldar pirates. The entire chapter-fleet, including the chapter's mobile space-fortress Raptorus Rex, made a successful warp jump from the Pireaus System to travel the 120 light years to Crows World. The five ships, over eight hundred brethren, and two thousand other personnel expected to reach Crows World within no more than 12 hours. They never arrived.[2]
